Even Hitchhiking Ghosts from Disney’s Haunted Mansion want to be someplace “Where Dreams Come True” as shown by Ezra in this “Deluxe Start Set” pin. He is shown in his classic pose front of the Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World, tipping his hat and thumbing a ride. The Castle serves as a visual reminder that when you are at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, you are at a place “where dreams come true.”

This pin is from an 8 pin “Deluxe Starter Set” celebrating Walt Disney World® Resort, the place “Where Dreams Come True” featuring Mickey and Friends in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom® Park. The characters include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Tinker Bell, Cinderella, and Ezra the Hitchhiking Ghost from The Haunted Mansion. This good-sized half-round pin measures approximately 1 5/8” x 1 3/8”.

When building the Cinderella Castle they utilized an optical trick known as forced perspective, which makes the castle appear even larger than it actually is. As it becomes taller, its proportions get smaller. For example, using this method, the top spire of the Castle is actually close to half of the size it "appears". Major elements of the Castle were scaled and angled to give the illusion of distance and height, a method frequently used in Disney theme parks around the world including Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
